How We Tested & Rated The Car Drying Towels

As well as testing out a number of car drying towels, we also spent hours researching the latest available. Some of the factors that we considered included the towel’s absorbency, construction quality, size and value for the money.

Although a larger towel is able to absorb more water, they are harder to handle with the absorbed water inside and this is what we tried to point out with some of the recommendations. During testing (as shown in the photos below), we preferred to use a large towel for most of the drying process and a smaller drying towel for finishing.

Conclusion

Investing into a dedicated car drying towel is highly recommended if you wish to prevent swirl marks and other defects appearing upon the paint. The only thing that would be slightly more safer would be to use a car air dryer. However, they aren’t exactly cheap and a high quality drying towel would be a fraction of the cost.
